Journey on the Tongue _Linz, Ars Electronica
5 - 9 September 2019
Journey on the Tongue, Ars Electronica 2019 at STARTS Prize award-winning exhibition.
"Journey on the Tongue" exhibited in Tokyo in February 2019 was selected as the 2019 Winner of the Euro Committee's Art Encouragement Award "STARTS Prize".
Invited by the executive committee of the International Art Exhibition Ars Electronica Festival 2019, the exhibition in Linz, Austria has been realized. The "STARTS Prize" award-winning exhibition is "POST CITY" at the main venue. The largest main venue among the three exhibition venues in Linz. A space that has been converted from a huge space that used to be a postal collection and delivery center.
An area where you can choose from 12 types of scents to travel to is set up outside, and an area where you can experience a hydrangea trip is configured indoors, and guests are introduced step by step into two scenes, which effectively develops the experience. In addition, the dynamic production using DMX lighting that reacts in conjunction with the 4.1 channel sound system by sound artist Evala was also successful as an attempt to raise expectations for the experience.
The work that allows you to experience the trip by actually playing with it in your mouth attracted a lot of attention, and it became a popular exhibition with a continuous line of people who want to experience it every day for 5 days.
